A word from the President
It’s a privilege, as both President of the Science and Botany Learning Promotion Foundation and Director of Science and Botany Park, to introduce you to the creation and development of this project located in Huaykhong Village, KeoOudom District, Vientiane Province, Lao PDR.
This initiative stemmed from recognizing the importance of supporting young people, students, and anyone with a passion for these fields. We envisioned a space where they could truly immerse themselves in both the theoretical and hands-on aspects of these subjects. Productive discussions with the Ministry of Science and Technology led us to agree on establishing Science and Botany Park. A contract was signed on August 7, 2020, between the Ministry of Science and Technology and Atlantic International Group Sole Co., Ltd. When the Ministry of Science and Technology dissolved, the contract was transferred to the Ministry of Education and Sport.

Construction began in 2019, and by the end of 2023, we’d made incredible progress. We’ve completed most of the major structures, including a 104-person planetarium and an observatory that both host public viewing sessions periodically. On the botany front, we’ve been planting a wide variety of vegetables, plants, and trees. As we head onward, we’re planning to expand our collection with local herbs and trees from different regions. This will create a fantastic resource for anyone interested in studying or researching botany.
Our main goals for Science and Botany Park are to create a vibrant hub for young people, students, science enthusiasts, and tourists. This will be a place to learn and explore all things science, astronomy, and botany. We could even say it’s the first park in Lao PDR.
Finally, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who’s shown their interest and support. We can’t wait to welcome you all to the park soon.
